CCB Facilities
Where is the CCB?
The CCB occupies the ground floor of Lewis Hall on the Montana State University campus in Bozeman. Its joint use facilities
include:
- a cluster of 10 computer workstations with advanced graphics capabilities, with a wide range of
advanced computer software for image analysis, molecular modeling, neural network simulation, statistical analysis and database management
- a confocal microscope with multi-photon capability
- a library with a wide variety of journals, monographs and reference resources
- an "Access Grid Node" connecting Montana researchers to remote tools and scientific collaborators. A Central defining feature of the CCB is
the use of this advanced, high-bandwidth internet portal to provide MSU students and faculty with access to other researchers and facilities at many
different institutions around the world. Current facilities being accessed through this node include:
- the three National Science FoundationSupercomputer Centers in San Diego, Champaign-Urbana, and Pittsburgh
- the National Center for Microscopy and Imaging Research in San Diego
